All the buzz on [..] about this book was true. It is the standard by which all other mountain biking guidebooks on the Mt. Pisgah area of the Western North Carolina mountains must be measured.

Parham’s love for this area, and for mountain biking and cycling in general, are apparent in his writing. Also, unlike another guidebook that covers this area, he was thinking of mountain bikers of all ability levels when he made his choices of trails and routes to recommend. The trail reviews are arranged in a very systematic fashion, by location of the trailheads. Parham also includes other valuable information for trip planning, such as area lodging, campgrounds, and bike shops. When planning a mountain biking trip to this beautiful area, this book, and a couple of good maps, are all you need. HIGHLY recommended!
