Customer Review: Going Green is a Big Thing!
The IZIP URBAN CRUISER Electric Bike was delivered complete in just a few days in a sturdy box. It took about 20 minutes to assemble with the tools that came in the box! The assembly involved putting on the seat, pedals, handle bars and front wheel. The rest of the bike, all the cables and things are already hooked up. It does have good hardware, sturdy tires and rims and a nice disk brake in the front.

The battery pack just slides into the rear rack, but you can test drive the bike without the battery installed because it runs fine as a cruiser bike. (I mostly pedal a little and coast a lot.)

The battery does need to be ‘broken in’ by running it from full charge to dead a few times. (It comes with a charger that is light enough and small enough to put in your backpack.) After charging the batteries a few times the bike has more power for longer trips.

I have a 15 mile round trip commute with some ups and downs, some paved and unpaved parts of the route. The place I work lets me charge up the battery during the day. (They are promoting ‘Going Green’) so I have no problems going the full trip on the Twist And Go (TAG) mode.

By the way, I am in my mid 50’s and weigh over 200 pounds and it gets me where I am going. If you are looking for a relaxing ride to work or just around the neighborhood, this is a real nice bike. This is a cool looking bike. If you are looking for speed, this isn’t the bike for you, but it cruises along nicely at 15 - 20 miles per hour.

Oh yes, newer model IZIP bikes have batteries in the frame and look really cool, but the cost to replace the battery on this rack mounted battery (It can hold 2 batteries) bike is $129 v.s. over $400 per battery on the newer model. I did buy a second battery from the manufacture to double my distance.
