Maxxis Minion DHF Mountain Bike Tire Maxxis designed the Minion DHF Downhill Mountain Bike Tire based on the burly conditions found on NORBA downhill courses. Ramped knobs provide low rolling resistance when you’re pinning it down the straights, and channeling helps you stick when you’re railing corners in the trees. Though Maxxis designed the DHF specifically as a front tire, many racers switch between using it on both wheels and pairing it with a DHR on the rear to match course conditions.
