Customer Review: Amazing Bike
This bike is NOT your typical department store bike. Forge makes a great bike. Once I received the bike and assembled it, I brought it to my local bike shop for a tuneup and asked the guys how much they think the bike would go for. Due to the great components on this bike, they estimated the bike would go for $600-$650. When I told them it was only $320 they nearly fell off their seat.
The bike is loaded with quality components. The Shimano Deore shifters and rear derailleur work effortlessly to shift through all 27 gears. The Shimano Alivio front derailleur also works just as well. MX2 Disk brakes provide awesome stopping power (even on rocky downhill slopes, had to slam them to avoid taking a digger and it stopped on a dime). The rims, seat, crankshaft and grips are quality name brand equipment as well. The bike is fairly light too, weighing in at ~30 lbs or so.
In summary, for a real starter mountain bike (not something you would find in say..Toy’s R Us) I highly recommend picking this bike up. It’s built to last and Forge has excellent customer service. You won’t be disappointed.
